Support for unpaid carers
You are an unpaid carer if you help someone to live as independently as possible and you are not paid to do this, or do it as voluntary work. This role is invaluable - and you don't have to do it alone
Being an unpaid carer can involve supporting a friend or family member by picking up prescriptions, help with shopping, laundry and cooking, supporting someone to medical or other appointments. We recognise that this is an enormous and rewarding commitment, but it can impact on your health and wellbeing.
This section brings together everything you need to know about the support available to carers across Perth and Kinross.
